It’s been a while that I have not written my blog. Perhaps I was not in a good state to write down something as I counted down my days here. Also, I was busy hunting for my next net. After searching and trying, I finally signed my housing lease. What a big relief! I know where my next place is. Since I intensively walked a long distance for 3 days in a row, I feel so weary and my muscle are so sore. However, I feel realxed!

Labor Day Yesterday

Since January, I have not logged in to jog down anything. The reasons mainly are that I don’t have any specific positive events to keep a record and I’ve written in the Xi-Le Notebook in Chinese that Grace gave me.

The school informed me that I didn’t have to work yesterday, but I had to bring all my teaching material home and prepare for it. It was a bit unfair, but since I’ve decided not to renew my contract, I just followed what they told me.

Last afternoon, I prepared for ESL7 Literature for the whole afternoon. I felt glad that I could calm down to do close reading although I did not read anything for the NTNU entrance exam. I do hope that I could get the acceptance, but once it happens, this is the beginning of another arduous challenge. However, I really wanna leave ASAP. This is my best hope and top priority. I am really tired of the students’ problems.

Finally, I am really thankful for MingDe, Sally, and Grace who have supported all along the way. However, since I will need to break my contract for the studies, I desperately need someone to negotiate with the school. Who is that person? Grace? Sally? Mom? Once I thought of this question/problem, I feel perplexed.

A Surprise today

I’d like to “show off” this one as life has many ups and downs.

One of the kids came to me and said, teacher, for the new year, I have one good thing and one bad thing.

Me: What are they?

Candace: The bad thing is I missed one of your classes, computer literacy, because your class is one of my favorites, actually my second favorite. The top one is reading. The good thing is I can skip lots of Chinese classes. I really hate them.

I never thought of being someone’s favorite. My colleague was jealous but happy for me. Candace’s words really comfort me because I have to finish the comments for all G3s.

December 28

I just wanna keep a record of things today. Nothing specific, but it was raining in the early morning. I always did not want to wake up and come to work, but in order to avoid being late, I departed earlier. I had some quiet time in the morning. I talked to Tr Livia. She chatted with me and shared some parents’ complaints. I have to say that we have the commonplace. We shared and supported each other. I am not alone.

In addition, I shared a picture of 讓健康四季相守. I do hope that everyone is healthy and peaceful (Ping-An).

Merry Christmas

I am always expecting the special season of the year. Actually, I hope that this year could pass faster. However, it’s Christmas today. Merry Christmas to all! I wish this could be a tranquil and peaceful Christmas because it’s a regular working day here in Taiwan.

To everyone I love, I wish you all the BEST. The most important thing is to be healthy and happy. I am thankful to have all of you in my life as supporters at home, at school, and at far afield.
